Amelie Riley fears that her life may just remain in a state of purgatory. She can't find peace in the silence that consumes her, nor pleasure in the constant rave inside her head. After barely surviving last years Ghostface attacks without the most important person in her life, she figures that the only way she can continue on with her life would be to leave the godforsaken town of Woodsboro. So, her and her friends embark on their journey to New York City where they leave the blood trail and pain of the past behind. There, Amelie meets Ethan Landry. Her friends nerdy, cute roommate that, unbeknownst to her, has a massive crush on her. Amelie battles through the return of a new Ghostface, the skip in her heart when Ethan is around, and most of all, the face underneath the mask.
