Sophia Ivory had never really embarked on anything more adventurous than following her beloved fictional characters around on their journeys in the safety of her own bed, so when her best friend persuaded her to go to a Halloween party, things definitely get a little more adventurous. The house in which the party was thrown was a home to an old clan of vampires that hadn't been awoken in a few hundred years, and so you can imagine the surprise of Sophia when she accidentally awakens them, and restores power to the most dangerous vampire in the western world. All it took was a flicker of courage that was in the wrong place, at the wrong time.

In between dealing with the secrets and dynamics of being a werewolf, the totally not cliche grudge between the vamps and werewolves, being the potential next murder victim of a mysterious and possibly non-human killer, and a hottie with fangs that she sometimes kind of wanted to make out with and other times wanted to rip his throat out, Lila was definitely going to have a totally normal, average life in this new town.
