Ever since Liza Koshy was a young girl she had loved art. It was always her one talent, the only thing that made her really stand out. People had warned her from pursuing an art degree, calling it 'pointless, fruitless, and all other things less'. It didn't stop her.

David Dobrik is the business major determined to gain Liza's affection. Nobody really knows what his deal is, or why he continually pines over Liza despite her apparent disinterest.
