16 year old, Jacob Matthews and his mother just moved to a new town.
It's his first day at his new school and all he wants to do is run home. He's expecting the day to go horribly wrong. But instead, he meets a cool goth chick and her very energetic, cute friend.
He hopes that he can finally have friends and not be dragged down by his social anxiety and depression. But he isn't very confident.

The characters are not abusive. The relationships are healthy, and I hope my book is as positive and easy to read as I wanted it to be.
