Ishikawa Nagisa is old, sick, and becomes closer to death with each passing day. Her son, Kaname, wishes to know what happened to his father. It pains her tell  to her son exactly what had happened, but she will never be able to rest peacefully until he knows. Nagisa tells her son the story of the very first Ishikawa and how he bonded with a Spirit Dragon. Then she goes on to tell her son how she became a great exorcist and the events that led up to the tragic downfall of Kaname's father. Nagisa will tell her story even if it kills her and even though Kaname will never forgive her.
