Six months ago, Jessie Miller's family was hit by tragedy. Ever since then, the 17yo doesn't seem to catch a break. After two horrible experiences, Jessie has shut down the door on love, and has lost all hope on ever being happy. When she's asked to show Nick DeMaro, the new transfer student, around school the connection between them is undeniable and they become instant friends. However, when she finds out Nick may want to be more, Jessie soon distances herself from him, afraid of relieving the nightmare of her last relationship. Despite her friends' advice to give him a chance, Jessie is intent on living in the past, paranoid and afraid. Now its up to Nick to find out what happened and show Jessie that only she can close the door on the past and give life a second chance. Will she move on?
