Ellie is a freshmen at Valor Academy, the school for over achievers. To be selected for Valor, a prospect must be exceptional in the following areas: athletics, academics, and character. It is difficult to be accepted, but attending the Academy means that you are surrounded by the most well rounded teens in America. It makes it easy to be best friends with everyone, since everybody has so much in common. It also makes it easy to fall for everyone. Especially when you know that the cute baseball player in your math class will likely go pro, and so will that football player in your english class. Ellie has enough on her plate with her multiple daily softball practices, challenging classes, and house responsibilities. But if two guys fall for her, how long can she avoid a relationship for, and how does she choose?

Elliot's partner was his whole world, but after Allan's death, his ghost haunts Elliot's dreams. Everyone tells Elliot to move on, but he isn't sure he can. ***** It's been a year since the love of Elliot's life, Allan, passed away. Everyone thinks he should have recovered after that much time, but Allan still haunts Elliot every night. He struggles to maintain relationships with his family, and despite a coworkers interest he can't summon up the courage to date. Elliot is living for the past, because to live for the present means he'll have to live with a hole in his heart. But the question Elliot has to face chases him through his monotonous days: is mourning Allan with everything he has truly living? [[word count: 40,000-50,000 words]]
