The protectors.

Long ago when dragons where the protectors of the world, humans and dragons lived in peace with the threat of war long past the two races together they formed a powerful alliance. But one day a new evil came upon the dragons and the mankind alliance, the dragons where the one fought the new evil, but they were soon overwhelmed by the new evil. The dragons where overwhelmed by the new evil but they didn't die with-out telling the leader of the human race the prophecy that could save or destroy the world. The leader feared that the ones destined to be the savoir or destroyers would be born in the realm and he wanted to kill all the children that where born after the prophecy was given in hope to stop the world from ending. His wife had stopped him from ordering that all the children be sent to the palace, the royal family had written the prophecy down on a scroll of eternal life. Whoever held the scroll would never age until they put down the scroll.
