That's all they could hear. the explosions from the enemy bombs blocked out the noise, faint screams and shouting from the other soldiers could be heard all around them, as well as gun fire and the stomping of boots. Their eyes watched as everywhere around them men died, innocent men, killed by enemy fire. Bodies littered the ground and the smell of smoke, gunpowder and blood lingered in the air filling their noses. They were bothers and sisters in war, bonded by fighting.
