Casey Jones wants to be famous.
Together, with his ragtag group of bandmates, Casey thinks he might finally be able to make something of himself, maybe even make his parents proud in the process, but that's before a disaster during the school talent show sends his life spiraling out of control. His band starts falling apart, his grades start slipping, the pressure from his parents doesn't let up, and his younger brother continues to cast a shadow that Casey's not sure he'll ever make it out of.
Casey Jones is in for a few hard lessons about family, friends, and making the most of the hand he's been dealt.

Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more.
