France and Germany are war torn countries fighting over their border, the Rhineland. The war is fueled by hatred between two races, the werewolves of France and the vampires of Germany. Madeline Garou is a sixteen year old werewolf soldier. She's tough, angry, socially awkward and does things her way or not at all. She's a girl who gets what she wants and works for it, every time. When one of her missions against the vampires is a failure, the Alpha of her pack punishes her by sending her off to boarding school and letting her live a normal teenage live for a month. Madeline meets a talkative American and an Irish werewolf, and then she discovers how deep the war really runs.
