Outlast: A story

HELLO MY BEAUTIFUL AND SOMEWHAT MURDEROUS READERS

Recently I've been reading some Outlast stories, and I've seen plenty of Reader x Whomever, or Waylon Park x whomever and Miles Upshaw x whomever. So I decided to write one from the eyes of a patient.

And seeing as though I had no ideas for characters. I chose one from a previous book, Psycho High.

That's right. Kafara Jayanne Duffy.

Extract

Miles walked around the corridors lost, hurt and helpless. He came across one patient who was crouched in a fetal position with their head down. All he could see in the dimly lit corridor was electric blue dreadlocks, smeared with gore. He crouched down to them. "Hello... My name is Miles Upshaw... I'm not a patient... I'm lost... Which way do I go out?" The figure moved. Miles backed away and stood up. He watched as the form stood up, then up a bit more... And a bit more... Long arms and legs unfurled into a seven foot form. "I'm Kafara Duffy." As she spoke Miles saw rows of sharp dog like teeth. She looked down at him. "He... Hello..." Kafara flicked her tongue out and ran it over her canines.
"Kafara!" Another female voice shouted. Kafara jumped and pulled herself over the door. Miles blinked a few times.
"Who... Wow... What?"

Kafara walked around looking for her friend. Her eyes seeing through the think gloom that lay around. She looked up through a gap in the ceiling, and got hit in the face by a camcorder. As it dropped to the ground the lenses smashed. Kafara picked it up, unsure of how to use it. She walked around with it, until she came to a desk. Placing the camcorder carefully on it, she left.
