"The Rebellion has failed. The Capitol are back in power." These were the last words Syren Ripple heard before she watched her parents die right in front of her. Now, she's forced into the first Games, a horrifying event, designed to stop the Rebellion from happening again. She has no reason to come home. Except for the net-makers son, the boy that taught her everything she knows. Is it enough? Or will she crash and burn at the Bloodbath?

What if the rebellion failed, the hunger games continued? These are the 150th annual hunger games! To remind the citizens of the failed rebellion the Capitol decided to hide ruins in the arena. Vivus Redis, a seventeen year old boy from district 13, is being reaped. Will he survive and see his best friend and family again? Or will he die a horrible death in the arena? And what's up with all these mockingjay symbols? "Why?!", yells Res as she enters the room. "I told you to not do that! I told you that over and over again!" Tears start rolling down her face again, washing away dust and dirt. I don't know what to say, it's like I don't have a voice anymore, so I just stand up and go to her.
