The Apocalypse.
Most people thought it was never going to happen,
Others thought it would.
When a mistake is made and two chemicals mix together, it creates a explosion killing the 5 scientists working on the cure for cancer.
It starts off in America but, soon planes start leaving, a young couple had gotten scratched by it trying to escape from the small horde that was turning into thousands and hundreds of thousands.
They manage to catch a flight to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
On their way to a town called Bundaberg, they turn, and start infecting the town, it doesn't take long before it spreads to other places, hitting all the way up in Townsville and down to New Castle in under a day.
The only place that wasn't infected so far was England, and they had blocked anyway for people to get in as they were trying to figure out a cure.
It doesn't take long before a young girl commits suicide, a boy is shot to death and an old lady passes away for the infection to infect part of London, then reaching other places.\
This is the story of one group, they go through fights, deaths, betrayal and... love

Five years wasn't an incredibly long stretch of time, but it was long enough for nearly an entire hemisphere to be thrown into utter chaos and then complete collapse. Five years was long enough for millions of people to be lost and anything resembling normalcy to be blown on the wind. There was no hope of normal, of safe or secure, when the world had fallen apart and the dead walked the earth... It had been one month since she had been tested for the gene, one month since she had left her family and had been taken to The Sanctuary where the other carriers were kept. She had been attended to by a physician, fed so well it seemed almost shameful, and watched closely for signs that she was nearing her most fertile days. It had been three weeks since she had been permanently marked as a carrier, permanently set apart from the rest of the world.
