I'm the pumpkin queen???

Her name is Shadow. She hides in the shadows, because the people fear her. That's how she got her name, well nickname. Her name she was born with was, Sapphire Waters. Because when she was born her eyes 'were' a radiant blue, like the sapphire jewel its' self. But over the years of her childhood, her father was hit by a drunk driver and died. Her mother tried her best not to blame poor Shadow, but couldn't. One day Shadows mothers Christine went to the liquor store while little Shadow was at school. Shadow came home after school that day happy to get to see her mother. But little did she know her mother had gone to liquor store and bought the strongest rum she could find, and got extremely drunk. As soon as Shadow stepped through the door her mother started yelling at her saying "It was your fault your father died. You little shit!". As the years went on her other became the usual abusive, alcoholic, parent. And one fateful day when Shadow turned 21 she was boredly walking along an abandoned alley, when three guys started chasing her. She ran in to woods, not stopping. She then found 7 trees with doors of holidays on them. She heard the men getting close so she open the one she was closest to and jumped in. But the one she jumped in wasn't the she wished it had been. It was the Jack-O'-Lantern. (The Halloween door.)

To find out what happened to Shadow read the book. She also might fall in love with a certain pumpkin king. She has a younger brother as well that left when he was 18. His name's Blake he's human Though. He got his mothers genes. Shadow also isn't human you have to read to find out.
