Vampires,
    The undead creatures that lurk in the night. They feed on the life essence of the living. Typically in the form of blood from other creatures. From the most notable vampire, Dracula, to the least favorite vampire, Edward Cullen. Over the years they've changed and adopted to meld with culture of modern society. 
    
    I've read almost every vampire book, seen the movies and watched the television shows. They all have a similar underlying theme among all of them. Girl crosses path with hot vampire guy, the hot vampire guy is some eternal brooding guy and then they fall in love. Sometimes they have to face some epic fight or battle of sorts, but end the end it's a love story between human girl and vampire guy.
    
    I wish I could say my story started in 2016 when that fantasy world became a reality. A strange man came into a convenience store I worked at and my whole world instantly changed. I was thrown into a world of blood, politics and learned the hard way that vampires are NOTHING like what they are depicted as in works of fiction.
    
    But my story started a few years prior, in 2013 and I was blissfully ignorant of what took place around me.

Everyone has heard of the classic stereotypical vampire love store. Powerful figurehead vampire male becomes attracted to young human female. At first they aren't attracted but as time goes on, they begin to fall madly in love. Then there is the story of a male vampire who has done unspeakable evils as a vampire and is eternally brooding and even though he can't help what he is, he tries to be the good, kind hearted lover for his human female. Or better yet, the female finds out her lover is a vampire and begs and pleads to be turned to live eternally young and thus tries everything in her power to become a vampire but the male vampire refuses to turn her so that she does not live a cursed life. After a mysterious man begins to befriend her while working at her job, a night of sex turns into the start of everything she thought she could handle into a whirlwind of challenges. It's easy to kill a person in the movies or in a book because it's fiction. But actually suck the life out of a living being and it be her new reality, that's a whole different ballgame. Nadine Burns must now learn to face being a Newborn vampire in a world where there is no kindhearted feelings and sunshine and rainbows. To top it all, she was turned by one of the most powerful vampire leaders in her city and must also learn how to parade around in vampire politics.
