Jane Johnson hasn't had the best life from abusive parents at home to life-threatening bullies at school; she has no friends and no one to turn to. So when Jane finds out she was adopted she finds hope. Maybe she can finally get away from the terrible life she has known as long as she can remember. After a terrible incident Jane finds herself at the entrance of a dark alleyway with no food, water, or a place to go. When a boy comes and offers her a place to stay, she can't refuse or else she might not survive. As she gets to know him they become closer and soon Jane finds out something that could change her life forever.
