In Anna Julious' tiny home town of Falkner, Mississippi, everybody knows everybody. Sometimes it's helpful, other times it's a good way to ruin your reputation for the rest of your natural born life. So when a twenty-one year old man, with long hair, torn jeans, and a cigarette hanging out of his mouth shows up on her front porch asking for directions, there was no stopping the gossip starved people of her town.
