She lived in the dark green fields of his soul.
Pushing and pulling him to the edge.
Her hair like the caramel ripples of a smooth cognac.
Filling the glass with rich swirls.
Her words rolled from her mouth, 
past his heart to a place even deeper.
Terrifyingly raw.
Candidly real.

She blew across these fields, at times a warm summer breeze.
And others, a destructive hurricane.
She stretched across the miles of fibres in his being.
Ripping more holes than he cared to remember.

He was an audience of one for this version of her.
