Ever since she was a merely child in a world much bigger than her, Leaf Verde yearned to wander the earth and explore every nook cranny out there, even though she never divulged her secret ambition to anyone. After moving from the loud, noisy, and dangerous Saffron City to the much more peaceful and quaint Pallet Town and an unfortunate event Leaf managed to solve, Professor Oak offers Leaf a chance to indulge in her dreams by giving her a Pokemon of her own.
After leaving for her journey, Leaf encounters a colorful array of people and soon makes rivals out of Blue Oak and Red Fire of Pallet Town. Meanwhile, Team Rocket begins stirring up trouble around the region and causing all sorts of problems. With only her newest friends, her Pokemon, by her side, Leaf learns more about herself, her rivals, and the region she grew up in.
The Kanto Region is a lot more twisted than Leaf could've ever imagined and the problems aren't just within evil organizations trying to take over the world. Some people are just horrible, even ones with good ideals who believe what they do is right.
And, all the while, Leaf wanders around the region, searching for her place in the world.

A - The book crosses over with @Bossun24 's Pokemon Leaf Chronicles for 6 chapters. The crossover had been planned 1 year prior to its publishing. Q - Why is Leaf replaced by Lyra? A - Leaf is not replaced by Lyra, both characters are different in their own ways. I wanted to get Leaf out of the picture for a different kind of character growth. Lyra is Red's cousin sister, with Red being an experienced trainer, he acts like a mentor to her. Q - So time travel happens in this one? A - It does, and its fun how it plays out. Q - Who is this Masked Man? There was a masked man in the manga too. A - While the idea was original, a mystery man who structures every Team Rocket plan and assists Giovanni. I was shocked to see that the manga had someone named "Masked Man" as well. Q - Who is this Masked Man? And why is he important? A - A mystery man controlling every aspect of a criminal organisation and has been the true mastermind of Giovanni's every plan? Sounds pretty important to me. As for his identity, I was very unsure if I was ever going to reveal it as it was not very important at first until the second book was coming to an end.Concluida
