An otter at sea is a gay/fiction romance story that I have been thinking about writing for about a month now. I am going to school for art myself, but I feel a strong affinity with writing. It features Miko, an otter and an art student on his way to university to get his degree in fine art in one of the more advanced university for visual and preforming arts on the west coast.
The otter has never been one for romance, finding himself more dedicated to his studies yet, things will change when he starts to find out things about himself that he never knew. It's a tale of an otter finding out who he is during the more important time during his life, college. A place of new beginning and experimentation, free from parents.
I want this story to be as professional as possible and find inspiration among similar type novels I've read. I have written things in the past on fan-fiction, yet I have very strong feelings for this story I want to tell her.
I encourage all criticism and comments, so your welcome to say anything about this story. How do I know if what I'm writing is good if I don't start a discussion with my fellow peers. (I do wanna make an cover for the story eventually)

Broken Boundaries
A while ago the question of what if an alien is so cute, a straight guy can't help but still fall in love depite the alien being male, came to me. And of course, the idea for a new story was born soon thereafter. This is the result, my latest novel set in the science fiction Aoyu Universe as of this writing, and the first (and at this time only) gay/bisexual romance themed story that I've written. --- During the Earth-Silth conflicts, two commanders of opposing warships played a game of chicken at one of the outer known solar systems, the result being a head-on collision and two ships fused together at the bows. After the cease fire agreement plans were made to salvage what they could from the ships and Alain from Earth was sent as part of a two man crew to recover components from the Earth vessel while a team from the Silth would handle theirs. He rolls with you, protecting your body from the thorny underbrush. You can feel his body shifting around you. Thick fur becomes burning-hot skin at your back, and paws turn into hands that cage you in and pull you close. Before you know it, he's got you pinned against a tree while his bare chest presses against your back. He traps both your wrists easily in one hand above your head. "Caught you, my mate." Oceans to Trees
I'm aroace. I like romance novels. As you can imagine, there isn't much representation for that in such a genre, so I created my own. This is the story of Katie (our aroace queen) as she finds a person she actually wants to spend forever with. There aren't enough stories that show the love that can be given even when aromantic. However this is also the story of Jordan, and you will hear from both characters throughout the story. In the original document, the speaker is denoted by different colored text. Here, bold = Jordan, and not bold = Katie. I have 125 pages written so far, and I decided to share it because young me would have benefited from reading something like this. Some of the stuff we will tackle: depression from being in the Navy, discovering sexuality and the very real feelings that come with that, gender stuff, long-distance struggles, QPRs, the struggles of intimacy when asexual... etc. If there is a tag that you don't think belongs, it is because it hasn't come up in the story yet. Safe in your hands
This is a story about Noah. Noah has always lived with his parents, he was loved and cared for, but ever since his Father died, his whole word came crashing down. His mother decided to move them to her new boyfriend's house. Noah could have never imagined that his sweet and loving mother would become a drug addict, always neglecting him as he dies slowly in the arms of James, her new boyfriend. When her heart failed, it became worse. He wasn't alive, he was simply surviving. But what happens when a stranger comes to rescue him. Someone he found himself getting attached to even though he knew the risk. (Not lgbtq) After 13 years of pain. Noah finally knew how it was to be loved again, to be cared for. Noah finally found someone to lean on. A Man who became his solace in a world of pain. Noah found himself letting down the walls he had worked so hard to build around himself. He found himself melting into the Embrace of a stranger who became a family. Oh but that's not all, what if all this has something to do with his past? What if there was a huge mystery behind his parent's death? What if...this stranger has something to do with his past? . A past that he totally forgot about. What if everything that he has ever believed was all...a lie? What if all this was just some twisted revenge? Dive in to find out about the secrets that surround Noah as he tried to not run mad because of the secrets. (Not a good description but I promise it will be worth it when you read the story.) . . . I hate that I love you
"What do you want?" I snap, slamming my locker shut. His casual smirk, messy dark hair, tan skin, strong arms, eerie storm-grey eyes... the list could go on of things I notice- that I shouldn't notice- about him. "Oh, I want a lot of things." He inspects a speck of dirt on his arm. "I'm sure you've heard the news?" His eyes flicker back up to meet mine. Does he know? No. He can't. So I roll my eyes. He can't know that I know, that I would do anything to be the first one he tells. "You'll have to be more specific." I mutter, trying to look casual as I inspect my nails. "Well, it involves a certain title of the swim team," He offers. I shrug. "So you got captain. That's cool. And what do I have to do with that?" He narrows his eyes, trying to read my expression. Unfortunately for him, I have mastered the art of hiding my emotions. "This is what I wanted to talk to you about. During English," He fiddles with his sweater sleeve. "I recall you trying to talk to me," I frown. "Well, I..." He swallows, seeming... nervous? "I'm not doing too great... subject wise. And if I don't pick up my ass soon, I might be forced to quit." He rubbed the back of his neck, making his shirtsleeve slide up his arm to reveal a strong bicep. Not that I notice. I narrow my eyes. "And what do I get back in return?" I cross my arms. I'm going to be late for the bus if we don't hurry. He studies my face. "Name your price." He mirrored my position. I sigh. Money... but I don't need it. Popularity... but I don't want it. I meet his gaze steadily. He lifts his chin, the tiniest bit, but it doesn't intimidate me. I square my shoulders and stand up straight. He's only just taller than me.
