Normal is what we aim for. Sure, the media and self-esteem projects all tell us the immortal words of Marilyn Monroe herself, "Normal is boring." but in the grand scheme of things, we have to be somewhat normal or else we'd be isolated.
Clara Seraphina Clark and Michael Gordon Clifford struggle to achieve that normal state of mind. How difficult could it be? For a borderline schizophrenic and an undiagnosed teenager whose parents can't handle their own problems let alone their children's, normal is not only boring, it's strived for.
But what happens when their parents decide they'd rather not put up with the pair anymore? What does it even mean to be sent "away"?
