I really don't know what's gotten into me? Surely there isn't a disease that makes you miss a person so much it hurts. Or a disease that causes you to think of that person constantly. Is there such of thing where you're sad when your best friend's not next to you and extremely happy when they are right by your side? Although, I have heard that LOVE can make a person feel this way, but certainly it's impossible for me to fall in love with my best friend Kou...right? ------------------------------------------------------------------ Kevin is going through a huge dilemma. Kevin and Kou have been best friends for 11 years. But it wasn't until senior year of High School did Kevin notice a change in Kou. All a sudden, everything she did was adorable and she seemed to become prettier and more desirable each day. However, thinking nothing of it he brushed it off. That is until a new student shows up and shows an interest in his best friend.

Star is a different type of girl. Ever since she got detached from her divorced, emotionally unavailable parents, she's been filling up her quiet, lonely world with music and dancing. She's practically a musical prodigy at 16 and music can't possibly be taken away from her. The only people she's ever been really close to are her psycho, over enthusiastic bff's. They're the only people she can tolerate anyway. That's until one fateful day when she meets a cocky, narcissistic, though really cute guy at her favourite fro yo shop who gets under her skin for just being himself. She absolutely detests guys like him. Absolutely gorgeous, frustratingly charming, cocky as hell and shockingly talented at music. That's right. Star discovers that this seemingly unbearable guy loves music almost as much as she does and just that single fact makes her heart soften a little so she lets her guard down for just a tiny bit. But after that one moment that she decides to let it down, she realises that she can't get it back up again. She discovers she can actually feel things and once she acknowledges this, her whole world is completely changed from the quiet, peaceful, drama free life she has always been used to into a series of drama, heartbreak, tears, broken trusts and friendships. |Featured X1| @romance(high school romance)

Guys are so unpredictable, untrustworthy, easily bored, and always find a way to disappoint you. Not this one though! "Sometimes the things you need are right under your nose, and you'll miss them if you don't pay attention." That is what my mom always said anyway. Who knew she was right all along. Snapping out of my own thoughts I opened my eyes and he was still there. Down on one knee staring up at me, waiting on an answer. But why me? I ignored you, made you chase me, then brought drama into your life, bombarded you like a soldier on the front line, and invaded your life! Worked my way in like a flea. Yet you love me? REALLY? My hand balled into a fist and went flying before I could think. All I can say is you bet not let me down! Do not be like the others! Do not embarrass me! I'm giving my all to you, leaving it all in your hands... "Ouch!" Ok. Let's do this! I'm not sure how to put these feeling into words so the poetry and song titles are to help you feel what I am feeling as much as possible. This might get a little steamy at times! Hope you enjoy. ... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!

Her father had just received a promotion. Then she discovered he'd moved across the country. She wasn't happy finding this out. With her mood spoiled as school is starting soon, she never expected that she'd bump into the hot linebacker on her first day there. She wouldn't escape his clutches so easily when she befriends a girl. Later, she'd been told something very unexpected about that guy. The future is on her mind all the time, and she's already looking for them. When she encounters the linebacker again, she finds out his name. She also discovers he got everything he'd want: a hot girlfriend, a fantastic football team, great friends, a future career. It hits home harder that she got none of that. No boyfriend, no friends to speak of... and what career? Though her new friend is making life better. When she's invited to dinner, she discovers things about this linebacker she never knew. She realizes she got her very own Cinderella moment because of this unexpected dinner. A dinner that will change everything for her future...
