Quiet, a bookworm, smart and kind of cute. That's the definition of Ava in school. Keeping mostly to herself and only having one best friend to talk to. Ava is the one to be pushed around and be called names, only if they knew who she really is. She holds onto a big secret no one has ever known of. Loud, funny, intelligent and mysterious. That's the definition of Ava out of school. She is herself, keeping her past behind her at all costs. Ava has a double life and it is getting harder for her to keep it up and her secret is almost out because of one guy- Jace Oliver, or also the mysterious boy at school. Barely talks, only when he needs to. It all goes a different way when Jace is speaking to none other than Ava herself. This isn't about a boy falling in love, this is a story on how it happened.

My name is Jessica. Jessica Laylee. I'm nothing special. I'm not that "cool kid" you see around school with a ton of friends. I'm not hated by everyone, either. I'm a nobody. Nothing more to it. Always have been, and always will be. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ She has a secret. Not a legend, but a story. He lives a double life, showing nothing but his ego. All they wanted was a reason to live. The last thing she wanted was for her heart to burn. It was all that made it out safe.
