After the war Draco is left with nothing except hundreds of hideous scars from trying to escape the raging battles of the war. He is called back to Hogwarts for a final year, much to his dismay. He is forced to stay in a a cloak so as not to risk people seeing his scarred body. Draco is not looking forward to the year at all, that is until he discovers relief in the presence of his former enemy, Harry Potter.
