It had been three years after the Battle of Hogwarts. Hermione, Ron, and Harry had returned and completed their seventh year. Harry and Ginny are happily engaged and Ron and Hermione had something-- they weren't necessarily together, it was a causal relationship. With school and work they decided to wait until they got their lives together, before moving forward. Hermione had gotten a job working with Harry at the Ministry. Ron, however, worked with George at their store in Diagon Alley, after a tragic Quidditch accident.
They were content, but Hermione never felt truly happy. She often daydreamed of adventure once more, but she could never decide what she wanted. Until one afternoon, when she had a strange interaction with a certain blonde from her past.
