"Have the parents thought of summer camp," the judge asks. I don't look behind to my parents, I don't want to see their disappointed looks. "No, your honor. Do you have any in mind?" "If she goes to camp for juvenile delinquents she will stay the entire summer and her community service will be over by the end," the woman describes. Let me go, let me go, please let me go their. "My wife and I think that will be a good idea." YES! I mentally thank my father for his decision. "Sh will have three days until she has to be there," she turns her attention away from my parents and to me," during those days you will not be allowed to leave your house." I nod my head, following my lawyers directions on keeping my mouth shut in court. "This case is dismissed," the judge bangs the gavel twice and we all stand. -

Complete! "You know I really like you, right?" He was definitely drunk. "You do?" I asked. My voice was supposed to be teasing, but I think it came off as a bit startled. He laughed, "Yeah, why else would I trust you with all my secrets?" -- Betty was many things; a romantic, a fashion designer, a bit more jealous than the average girl, great with a camera, a helpful daughter and a good friend. But she was best known for being nice. And usually, the boy did not want the 'nice' girl. But this summer she was going to prove to Mike, her crush since FOREVER, that nice was enough. She was going to have an amazing summer, a perfect Junior year, and finally have her first kiss. It was a foolproof plan. Moving from her childhood home in Arizona to New Mexico at the start of Junior year was never a part of Betty's plan. But sometimes when parents are involved, plans change. So now the nice girl had to start over at a new school in a new State. And when the (maybe not so bad) bad boy, Eli, gets involved, it might be hard to be known as 'the nice girl'.
