In order to live, you must believe wholeheartedly that you will die.

Eve, like every other remaining teenager, knows about the existence of 'the Flood', a disease which decimated the population years before she was born. Only, as an illiterate tomboy living in the Slums of society, it's difficult to really care about a far-off disease which only crops up once in a blue moon. She's far more concerned with how best to destroy her brother's life, or finding something sellable in the Wastelands so she doesn't starve.

But when the Flood arrives on her doorstep, it suddenly becomes real, and suddenly her existence is being ripped apart in front of her. And despite everything, although hope is deadly, she can't let it go.
