"you don't think they'll stop? why?" isaac's question was soft but blunt, and he didn't dare turn his gaze towards gillian. he didn't want to feel pity, but he already was; and if he were to glance at those beautiful, green eyes, it might've deepened. or perhaps that wasn't the only thing he was afraid of.
"why would they?" gillian replied airily, leaning back against a locker as his eyes slipped around. "i mean- look at me. i'm a mess." picking up his hands, gillian tied them together, studying how they fit. his eyes were purely tired.
