Solitaria Cross is a shy girl. She's religious, smart, and lovable. Her family loves her, she the perfect granddaughter, and niece. But she has no friends, she has no parents. Her mother died in a shipwreck, her father committed suicide. She's scared of falling in love, she's scared of getting hurt.
She lived half her life alone, as a librarian's assistant.
But all that ends when She meets Alexander Sweet. A boy of dreams and a boy of a beautiful future. He's a new student at Athena High School and is trying to gain some friends. He decided to befriend Solitaria, unconsciously picking somewhat of a challenge.
Will he succeed and teach her the value of friendship? Or will Solitaria stay stubborn and send him away?

This is a story I wrote when I was in my first year of college. It's not the best writing and there are most likely some grammar errors, but I thought it might be fun to post anyway. On this Earth, each person born has a soulmate. Soulmates are determined by the shape of one's heart, and some women can see that shape. Although Kinsely is one of these woman, she is a cynical girl who doesn't believe in love. (most likely because she doesn't have a soulmate herself.) She's from Greece and she was named after the Goddess of war Athena. Caden Salvatore is a whole different story. He like to go out, drink his problems away, sleeps around and likes to break hearts. He's 20 and has a half sister that he doesn't like, she's 18, and he hates his father. He's covered in tattoos and likes to get a new tattoo after a new "conquest" as he call the girls or even women that want him. He likes to paint and take photos, not even his sister knows that. He's in a band with his frat brothers and he's like the leader. All the girls throw themselves at him and he likes that, until a certain someone doesn't and he takes it as a challenge. But what happens when she gets stuck in his head? Will he be able to let her go?
