Tara brooks grew up with three brothers, one older sister and very recently a single dad. So holding the title of Miss National Junior Dancer of the year at the age of 10 isn't as easy as some people would think it is. With the lose of her mother Tara's family begin to fall apart and her perfect world comes crashing down around her, with the only escape she has is dance. Since all her problems are bottled up inside of her, it gets to a point where they start to affect her dancing. Tara has to learn to not only find a way to cope with her family life but also learn to dance with the pain and to take it with her to dance away.
