Christie is a young woman who has lived a very hard life. After her mother disappeared, she is left alone with her abusive father. Her only comfort has been a stuffed cat named Maria her mother gave her as a present before she left. However, there is another reason why Maria is so important to her. She also holds memories of a young boy who saved them from a group of bullies years ago. Christie hopes with all her heart that she will one day get to see that boy again. The only one who knows the whole story, is her best friend Bethany who always does all she can to be there for Christie. Though she does not live an easy life, Christie always tried her best and hopes for the future. One day, Bethany's boyfriend surprises them with a trip to the amusment park. While there, she accidentally bumps into a young man wearing sunglasses named Matt. It seems there is much more to him than meets the eye. Just who is this mysterious man hiding behind these glasses?
