When Carter's friend Lani is dumped and left heartbroken, Carter would go to extreme measures to get revenge on the boy who broke her friends heart. No matter how long it takes.
When an opportunity presents itself almost a year later when that same boy asks her on a date. As Lani is still furious at Dylan for what her did to her, she comes up with a plan to make him feel the same way she did all those months ago.

"You're going to break his heart," Lani said in a matter-of-fact like tone.
"Wait what?!?!" I asked in disbelief, this wasn't what I had in mind when I told her I would get revenge 11 months ago. I was thinking something more along the lines of egging his house or stealing his dog, not actually getting close with the idiot.
"Carter its simple. You make him fall head over heels in love with you and then you dump his sorry butt like he did to me!"
How could I say no to that? Less than a year ago my bestfriend was sitting on my bathroom floor eating Ben & Jerry's crying her eyes out because of this dirtbag, and I had promised vengeance.

And by the 4th date Carter seems to realise something: as Dylan slowly falls for her, she seems to be falling too.
