Solus Prime was at the very front of the war against Unicron.
She was there when Megatronus turned to Unicron, and became The Fallen.
She has been in hiding for millennia, but has deemed it is time to reveal herself to more than just her young, AllSpark filled charge, Caitlin.
Of course, teaching a college astronomy course wasn't the glorious return she imagined.

Lost and Found (TFP)
The Autobots and Decepticons were fighting as usual for Energon when they plunged into a hole, falling unceremoniously into the abyss. There was one massive Energon in the middle of the place, far bigger than the usual Energon crystals. Things took a turn when the crystal glowed brightly, enveloping the bots and transporting them to somewhere. There was a catch though. They are now tiny and sparkling-like. As Optimus Prime flew into its core, white light enveloping him and he thought he could finally rest, he then wakes up to falling in the sky, plummeting to green foliage below, an immense abnormality for Cybertron. When he comes to, he realizes that he was back on Earth, but it wasn't his, at least not from the way people looked.
