As I felt the emptiness close in on me, I chose to tend to the darkness lurking around me. I drew on it, I coaxed it into me to fill in the gaps of my soul left gaping by my wolf. I could feel it tainting me, turning my mind into a swirling mess of hate and deceit. My soul seemed to battle it for a moment, though so fleeting I cannot even be sure. It ebbed away from the darkness, tentatively peeking through its lashes at it, it smiled then, my soul smiled. It was a dark thing to witness, it took to the darkness in an almost flirtatious matter, swirling its energy as it approached, allowing it to become one with the darkness. It was unlike the feeling when my mind was taken, it was entirely different. My intent on the world itself was shifting, my fate unfurling before me and changing to become something new entirely, something grim.
