Between each summer of training, each quest, each disappearance, Percy and Annabeth still have to go to school. What happens to the mortals that they befriend when Annabeth and Percy leave? What's to prevent a clear sighted mortal from finding out their secret?

Annabeth's school friend, Savannah Bell, can't help but wonder why her studious and hardworking friend leaves for extended amounts of time, and fails classes because of it. she knows that if Annabeth had the choice, she would stay in school and learn. So what's forcing her to leave? 

Percy's friends, Andrew Kerr and Miranda Atwood, are also suspicious. Although Percy doesn't really prioritize his school grades that much, he's kind, hardworking, and doesn't seem like someone who would skip so much - except he does. Why?

When the three friends combine forces, and realize the connection betwenen their Annabeth and Percy, will they discovere the truth?

My take on the cliche 'mortals meet percabeth' but with more of a story plot.
