Never Alone

The air hisses with a dry heat. Withered trees stick up from the clutches of sand, large, sandstone formations stretch over this desolate place.

I awaken, my long black hair tied into a short ponytail. Sand sticks to my hair and scratch against my caramel eyes.

The sun beats down hard on my tan skin, the buzz of a desert around me.

My memories are foggy, how did I get here? It doesn't matter now, my throat already stings for water.
