Tras el gran apagón que acabó con toda la electricidad, llegó el fin del mundo tal y como se conocía. Fuertes cambios climáticos complicaban la vida de los seres que allí habitaban. Inviernos helados y veranos ardientes obligaban a viajar de un lugar a otro en los pocos periodos de tranquilidad que el tiempo les ofrecía; primavera y otoño.
Alicia y Mévil, como cada año, se disponen a realizar uno de esos viajes con la esperanza de conseguir algo de provisiones y unas pequeñas cápsulas que necesitan para seguir viviendo. Pero esta vez han decidido desviarse...

I ran downstairs into the living room, my heart pounding as I found all my brothers gathered around Nefeli. Her eyes were frantic, scanning the room, desperately searching for me. The scream that bastard had let out earlier must have reached her... The moment our eyes met, she practically threw herself at me, wrapping her arms around me so tightly I could barely breathe. I stood frozen for a moment, unsure of what to do. I hugged her back anyway... Even though I had no idea what was going on. "Thank God you're safe" she murmured in my ear, her voice trembling, leaving me even more confused. I glanced at my brothers. They all looked just as lost as I was. Except for Aiden and Alex. They were motioning for me to hold on. "Of course I'm okay, Nefeli. What happened?" I asked, my heart tightening. I hated seeing her like this, so worried and panicked. "I-I heard Alex and Aiden talking in Italian!" she stammered, her eyes wide with panic. "They said something about the Mafia! Are we being threatened by the Mafia?" Her voice cracked, and tears threatened to spill from her brown eyes. The room fell silent for a moment. My brothers exchanged looks, and then, without warning, we all burst into laughter. Nefeli stared at us, completely confused. Cole, finally calming down, wiped his eyes and looked at her with a smile. "Love" he said, his voice smooth, "we're not being threatened by the Mafia." he let the words settle in the air for a second. The Other Side Of The Lens
"That was weird, but I can't stop my heart beating ten times faster than it should be. Laying down on the bed I face away from the bathroom door not wanting him to look at me. I pull the white cover up to my nose and look at the wall. I hear the bathroom door open and footsteps reach closer to the bed. The covers are being moved behind me as Mateo gets ready to sleep. I reach up to turn off the lap on my nightstand, and when I do we're left in the dark abyss of my room. Mateo's arm wraps itself around my waist and pulls me back into his hard chest. He gently lifts my head up and puts it back down onto his bicep. I take in a shaky breath and close my eyes deciding it is best to just sleep. Feeling his breath on the crown of my head, I'm more relaxed than I was before and start feeling sleepier by the second. But before sleep overtakes my mind. I hear Mateo mutter something. "Good night sweetheart." ~~~~~~ Moving on. Growing up. The fears of Mateo and Veronica. Two strangers who have been attending the same high school for the past three years. They believe they are different from each other but they have much more in common than they believe. Senior year things change when Mateo finds an interest in Veronica. She decides to give him a chance and see where the friendship goes. What she doesn't realize is that she's falling for him faster than she thought...and he feels the same. Through a camera lens, Mateo shows Veronica how to live her life to the fullest and that she is not alone in this big world. Meanwhile, Veronica is helping Mateo move on from the tragic incident that occurred in his family. Having faith and trusting that their relationship will stay strong. They decide to overcome whatever is thrown in their direction, and that there is always someone on the other side of the lens. ~~~~~~Complete

This story is about a young woman named Clara Larson, a 21 year old who escaped her abusive high school sweetheart. On a cold night Clara was out at a bar parking lot sitting in her boyfriend's car, waiting patiently as he purchased more beer inside. Clara had been desperately wanting to escape for weeks due to the abuse of her boyfriend & something about that night encouraged Clara that if she didn't attempt to leave this time, he'd come close to killing her or "actually" kill her. Clara needed a plan away from the man who managed to convince her that life was nothing without him. With her long over due prayers they were finally answered that faithful night. Clara encountered 7 men standing beside the car & desperate as Clara was, she decided that this was her time to shine, the abuse needed end. With the simple whisper of "Help" she managed to get attention from 1 out of the 7 men. A brief argument had emerged, a small fight amongst the guys had happened & Clara knew that she found her freedom again but there was one issue. Clara had no family. Her parents passed away at a young age, she had no siblings nor grandparents & her ex scared all of her friends away. Should she tell the one stranger who decided to give her a ride home the truth? Or should she take his offer that she can stay with him until she receives her deceased parent's inheritance money. Will Clara now have to live with the lie that there is no inheritance money? Or will she decline his offer because she knows it'll be too risky. Will the two become close if she takes his offer?Can Clara now adjust to making life decisions on her own as afree woman? Or will she run back to her ex because it's all she has ever known. Can she overcome heartbreak, abuse, mourning her parent's death as a free woman? Or Will she fold? Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same. There's always a change, an altering of reality. When you meet those people, the reality that you've known your whole life is suddenly gone and a new one has taken its place. When those moments happen, there's no going back. You can try to return to the way things were but nothing, and I mean nothing, can take you back to exactly how it was. That's what happened to us. I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of.
