Witnessing the murder of your parents tends to leave scars. Emotional and physical scars which lead to a gaping hole of hurt and mistrust, that can never be forgotten. Heather Lyle was a young girl when she received her scars. Full of light and dreams, it came crashing down on that dreadful day. Along with her 12 older brothers she tries to move forward, but the pain stays stagnant in her heart. Then Blade Tucker quite unexpectedly comes into the mess of her odd life. He's the bad boy of Buxton high school, and has the look and attitude of a bad boy down to a T. He hardly ever smiles, never lets himself be happy. He scares people, he's cold as ice. He is just as broken as the scarred girl. But when the two come together will it be a story with a happy ending? Or are they just too broken to be fixed?
