Lauren Sanders is struggling to rebuild her life with her aunt and cousin after her family's tragic death. But what no one knows is the truth about two things: how her parents really died and her battle with schizophrenia.

One day, Lauren stumbles upon something strange-a note hidden behind one of her mom's paintings, written in her sister's handwriting. It could be the key to understanding why her sister killed herself. Determined to uncover the truth, Lauren sets out on a mission to find more hidden notes and piece together the mystery that slowly tore her family apart.

Along the way, she meets Aaren Walters, a kind and curious boy who is drawn to the secrets she carries. As they grow closer, Aaren becomes captivated by the mysteries locked inside Lauren's past. Together, they dive deeper into the clues, hoping to uncover the truth. But as the secrets unravel, they face a terrifying question: will knowing the truth set Lauren free or destroy them both?

Her skin was fair and she was bright
like the moonlight
that is fulgent at night
her large, lustrous eyes,
hides beneath such lies.
she was a mystery
that was meant to be solved,
with such a sire history
that everyone was involved.
