Four average teenagers discover that they each have their own special power. After a lot of practice and training, they become the protectors of the world as the most powerful beings on the good side. The Four protectors of the world travel down to Earth to save the people from a deadly oppressor; Necrosis. He had come to take over the planet and make all of Earth's inhabitants his slaves using The Darkness. The Four are: Vesta, Keeper of the Flames; Terran, Controller of Earth; Dylan, Controller of Water; and Amon, Savor of Breath. These are the elements that make up the universe: Fire, Earth, Water, and Air, also knows as the ethereal. They all work together to create a safe place for the humans and animals to survive, defending them by protecting them from The Darkness. While The Four are down on Earth, Vesta, the only female protector, meets a normal boy. Vesta and the boy develop a relationship, though none of The Four are allowed to tell anyone about their powers.
