This story is based on the movie 'Dunkirk' directed by Christopher Nolan, which tells the story of the Dunkirk evacuation which took place in 1940 in the North of France.

Everyone knew how it went. The men went off to war and the women stayed home. At least, that was what everyone thought.
But what happens when a young girl from England joins the army under the name Samuel Briggs, in order to fight for her country.

A/N: Although this story takes place in the 1940s, apologies if some parts of the story aren't quite historically correct or don't match up to the 'norms' of that particular era.

4 years before D-Day , British troops are stranded on the boarder of France known as Dunkirk. They wait for salvation from promised Destroyer ships to bring them back to England, but German troops are near and flying in the air looking for anything with a red,white and blue flag flying. A soldier with the name of Harry is just as stranded as any other boy on the beach, but a presence of a nurse who is also among them could change him before his ride back home. This is a take on the new movie Dunkirk with Harry Styles in it, but with more of a love story added to it. The story line follows with the movie's with my own tweaks, so most rights are to the movie.Complete
