Two worlds. One choice. But she doesn't know it yet.

Autumn wakes up in a world were anything seems to be possible, but only for her, and the only thing she remembers is her name. She wakes up in a carriage with an actual princess, only one out of the many who live in that world. Nightmares plague her that seem all to real to be just nightmares, and Autumn knows it. She wants to remember, but from what she's seen so far, there might not be much worth remembering. However, before she really does anything about it, her new friend drags her along to a new place. . .

I'm not sure how long this will be, but there is going to be a part 2. Maybe it'll be a novella, maybe it won't, but I hope you enjoy!

No one ever knows the whole story... Nestled deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, something is emerging. Kept in absolute secrecy, it seeps into a fading town, quietly shared from person to person. For Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate, this discovery could mean an escape from his empty existence. To Rachel DuValle, perpetually underestimated and dismissed by the world, magic represents a chance to become something much greater than herself. In the face of an unsuspecting world, their decisions shape the growth of a budding society discovering untold power. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever - or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. ----- The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series. New chapters will be posted on Fridays for as long as it takes to tell the whole story. For Wattpad only, chapters are split up by individual scenes-if you would prefer the whole chapters in single pieces, please visit my homepage or another site where I post this story, thanks! In American rating parlance, the narrative would be rated PG-13 (except for language), but some have noted the story can get pretty dark on occasion. Waking up, alone in the cold and surrounded by snow with no memories of how she got there or who she even is, was not how Lyra would have wished to start her new life. Only by the guidance of the man who found her, the man who became her teacher in both life and magic, was she able to find comfort and meaning. But just when she begins to accept her new life, even amidst the ominous, never-ending snowfall, she is forced on the run. As she hunts down the very person who started it all--and sentenced her new beginning to death--she finds missing pieces of her past. Although, it's a past she wishes she never remembered, because, maybe then, she would have been able to live without guilt...or fear.
