'I awoke from my groggy state in a pitch black room. My head was pounding and it felt like I had the worst hangover possible. "Hello?" I cried out, my voice echoing and my words going on forever.
I breathed in a sudden smell of masculinity and mint "Boo," I heard someone whisper in my ear. Although I should have been frightened I did not make one single noise.
"What's going on? Where am I? What do you want from me?" I screamed at him.'
Harlo Collins lived in the year 2087.
She wasn't like the other girls her age, in fact she was nothing like them. Harlo had gorgeous flamed red hair, a strong jaw, freckles, two perfectly arched eyebrows and the two most beautiful eyes you would ever see. One light milky brown and the other, a mix between Hazel and blue.
But its because of her looks that everyone thinks of her as a mistake in the future world. According to the Relocked rules, the government, everyone was supposed to be born the same. Caucasian, blue eyes, Auburn hair, and little to no feelings. But mistakes were made every so often, people born differently.
What will happen when she's kidnapped? And what will happen when Harlo Collins is brought into a whole other dimension, into a world where she is more than accepted? Will she be able to accept that she is X-tra Ordinary?
