One day, Josiah is found in a pool of his own blood next to the river near his house. He suffers a concussion and dies at the hospital. He expected to either just die or to go to heaven. What he didn't expect, was for a dashingly handsome "young man" to offer him a deal. The Devil, who takes form as a young man named Elliot, offers Josiah his life for his soul. Josiah accepts. Thus begins a wonderful relationship.

I leaned in a little closer and pressed my lips against his. It's been a year since the accident. A year since Jamie lost his sight and Katherine died. They say that time heals all wounds but not for Aiden. The guilt is consuming him and no matter what he does or what anybody says he can't seem to forgive himself. Aiden has always gotten along with his younger brother Liam and his best friend Jamie; they used to do everything together and shared all they're secrets. The thing is that Aiden started feeling things for Jamie that he shouldn't and then the accident happened. Now he can't even look at Jamie without feeling guilty and his brother hates him. Both families are falling apart and when Liam decides to go away with Jamie's family to see Emma, Jamie's traumatized younger sister; Aiden scrapes up his courage and offers to keep an eye on Jamie.
