She used to be a nerd and he used to be and still is a player. But what happens when someone ties them up together? In a white ribbon while church bells ring? Getting engaged is not in Czarina Vercuso's plan, especially getting engaged to a man like Joshua King. But how will she ever get away with it? She knows she's got to decide something and fast, anything to make her situation work. She's got it all planned out and she's running the show. Little does she know that somebody else might be pulling the puppet strings too.

"How could you?" Sofia looked at her husband Hector. "You are overreacting. It's just above you." "I am telling you that a man was... inappropriate to me...he said he wanted to..." Sofia's voice was shaking. "We are all adults here. He has taken a liking to you. Consider yourself lucky. You have no idea where this man can get us. To where this connection can get us..." It seems the very man she expected to protect her from a predator was ready to throw her to that animal. Sofia recalled how Antonio had always tried to be a gentleman. But there was nothing gentle about his intentions. Only his eyes and direct approach with his words were enough to tell Sofia about it. She could still recall the day when he had told her. "You will warm my bed one day. And, your husband will drive you here that day." At that time, she slapped him, but now it seems he had won. Sofia gulped, looking at Hector. Her Hector couldn't be this blind. It wasn't that simple. She could tell that Antonio had spent a great deal of time brainwashing her husband. Sofia rubbed her cheeks and told her husband off while walking away. "This isn't happening. Not today. Not ever." Sofia accepts a gift card from her neighbor for a spa day. The most mundane day gets her in the way of an obsessive trillionaire, who has only one agenda. If you can't have it, ruin it.Complete
