Horizon Island is no ordinary place. Sure, like many a tropical island, it has rustic villages and charming inhabitants, both immigrants and natives. But the island has its own...quirks, per say. For example, the somewhat problematic fact that one can only reach the island by shipwreck, and presumably, storm is the only way to leave the island as well, though none of the islanders can claim to have heard from those who have attempted to leave.
The people of Horizon Island are no ordinary group of people either. Shortly upon arrival, whether by birth or storm, inhabitants begin to develop peculiar abilities, such as glimpses of the future, or the ability to move objects with one's mind. Will and Kea, two native-born twins, are no exception. They have grown up hearing about how strange their society is, but they have nothing to compare it to. It will take the arrival of Jack and Callie, the sole survivors of a wrecked cruise ship, to show the twins how remarkable their situation is and begin to explain the geographic phenomena that is the island.
