What would you do if you found yourself in a new country with a new culture and with a new language? Follow Alejandro Madero as he explores a new world; as he finds love and fear, acceptance and rejection, grief and laughter, God and himself. "No one knows my past, so I can be anybody in Austria. Actually, I can be who I always wanted to be: MYSELF! Have I lost myself in the expectations and labels people have put on me? I'm so scared to fail. I guess it is time to find out who I am; who I really am." - Alejandro Madero This coming of age story is loosely based on the experiences exchanges students around the world have every year, and of course, experiences they hope to have experienced. So... This is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. You don't really discover things until you travel. You meet new people, learn new things, experience more opportunities. It's like putting yourself in another person's shoes. Traveling opens yourself up to the world. You realize that there is so much out there, so much you want to discover and so much that you will never know. Follow your heart and do what your gut tells you because what is meant to be will end up happening. Don't doubt it. This is just a story of me and my adventures in Germany as an exchange student this current year. It may be a boring story for some people, or exciting for others. Maybe you will find it interesting. But before you start reading it, or go search for another book, remember what I said before. And most importantly never, ever give up.
