since forever we have been looking up to the expectations

but what do they really portray?
they steal our inner beauty and instead stick knives in us
until our insecurities are out
we are no longer sitting around whilst people criticize us
we don't take in those words anymore
we don't find them painful anymore
we will love ourselves for who we are
feel amazing in the body our mother so gently molded in her own
and take pride in our looks with or without makeup
