The year is 2099, and about 60% of the population has inhumanly powers. These manifest after a traumatic moment in their life. James is a 17 year old boy who has transferred to a new high school. Here the school is dedicated to helping people without powers, by telling them how to stay safe around these powered people. The only thing is...is that James has powers. As he keeps it on the down low as hard as he can, he makes friends and struggles through the grade to make it to next year. But he can't keep his true self hidden forever....

This original story draws inspiration from my childhood and teenage experiences. It also draws inspiration from media I'd enjoyed when I was younger. This is Chapter 1. The Beginning. On his first day in his new school, fifteen year old Maximillian Hunter finds out that he's not as alone as he'd earlier thought.
